The Many Benefits of Visitor Centres

Why we love supplying souvenirs to Visitor Centres

People are the best version of themselves when travelling. That, at its core, is why we do what we do.

Visitor Information Centres are the first port of call for curious and confused tourists, and even seasoned travellers will pop into the visitor centre for local knowledge.

Visitor centres are an integral part of their destination, and the information they provide isn’t limited to what to do, but also the history of the region and the secrets that only true locals will know.

Brochures, maps, wifi, and, of course, souvenirs! They all have the basics, though every single centre is different, catering to a different destination and therefore clientele.

Some really go above and beyond, like these three:

  • The Albany Visitor Centre has a free three-minute Virtual Reality Experience that allows visitors to see parts of the region they otherwise can’t access any other way

  • The Southern Highlands Welcome Centre put so much work into their public toilets that they won the Best Economic Contributor Category in the 2017 International Toilet Tourism Awards! The upgrade included flowers, posters, free wifi, and even audio reels.

  • Kapunda Visitor Information Centre is home to the small yet engaging "Taste of the Region" interpretive centre in the basement of their Visitor Centre, helping visitors have a richer understanding of the town and history.

We love visitor centres and are honoured to provide souvenirs to so many, especially along the Great Ocean Road!
