Keep Australia beautiful week

This year, the Keep Australia Beautiful (KAB) Council is ‘encouraging you to do the right thing’ to ‘Reduce What’s In Your Bin’ by choosing one of the 6 R’s of waste:

Refuse - Refuse plastic and single use products

Rot - Compost! Choose compostable packaging and compost food scraps

Reduce - Use less packaging, especially plastic and single use

Reuse - Use things multiple times

Recycle - Sorting recycling from rubbish or home recycling to give things new uses

Restore - Where possible, repair and restore things rather than replace them

As a certified carbon neutral company, we practise what we preach. Where possible, packaging materials are recycled and recyclable, our products are free from single use plastic, and we strive to take the most sustainable option at every step. We are always on the lookout for sustainable suppliers, and more eco-friendly options. Australia is such a beautiful and unique country, it’s important to do our bit to keep it beautiful. The best way to keep people travelling is to maintain beautiful, clean destinations to travel to!

KAB also run other programs and campaigns, like Contain Your Waste, a week-long challenge to see if an entire week’s waste can be contained in one jar, or Paint Australia Beautiful, a past campaign that encouraged primary schools to create nature based murals, sparking conversations about sustainability and environmental consciousness.

Their website has a plethora of information for both individuals and businesses, with blog posts, resource packs, and all event and program information.

Join us in the effort to Keep Australia Beautiful, not just this week, but every week.
