Climate Change Action:
E3 Products are Carbon Neutral Product certified by the Carbon Reduction Institute (CRI) under the NoCO2 Program. To achieve this status and make its products carbon neutral, E3 Products undertakes the following process:
CRI established a baseline footprint for FY23 for E3 Products based upon the sales for FY22. E3 Products have purchased credits to cover the FY2022.
CRI will complete calculations for products for FY2023 using financial/input tables applied to each individual product type sold applying a hybrid Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) approach. The FY2023 result will be reconciled against the FY2022 baseline footprint. Where the reconciliation generates an excess of credits they are rolled over into future periods and where the reconciliation generates a deficit E3 Products will purchase more credits to cover the shortfall.
Have committed to an ongoing program of offsetting the emissions related to their products in an approved Verified Carbon Standard project, namely China Wind, and
Have committed to ongoing annual auditing of their emissions by applying steps 2 and 3 above.
The Project:
The China Wind Projects provide renewable, clean energy sources for power generation. They partially displace electricity currently generated from grid connected conventional fossil fuel based thermal power plants, thereby reducing overall emissions. Furthermore, by reducing harmful pollutants in the atmosphere, the projects also provide public health and local environmental benefits.
