Why we love working with Taronga Zoo

We supply a range of customised souvenirs to Taronga Zoo and we’re incredibly proud to work with this iconic Australian organisation. There are many reasons we love them, but we’re particularly amazed by their conservation efforts and their focus on sustainability - two things we’re passionate about!

Here’s just a small snippet of some of the amazing things they do!

Their zoos are being transformed into functional conservation hubs, with an emphasis on animal welfare and habitat recreation. With onsite hospitals, not only are the zoo residents always treated with world-class care, but injured Australian Wildlife can also be saved and released.

Taronga Conservation Society is also committed to improving the habitat for native animals in and around zoo grounds, encouraging the return of native species. Both of the Taronga Zoos are leaders in animal welfare, and any research conducted is cleared with the Animal Ethics Committee to ensure humane, respectful, and responsible treatment of all animals.

As zoos, they offer animal encounters that can be accessed by the general public. These encounters are animal-led, and follow strict guidelines to ensure the safety and happiness of the animals, allowing them the freedom to choose to participate in the interaction.
