Introducing our innovative Australian-made rPET keyrings - a good recycling story!

This is what real recycling looks like…

Are you sick of diligently recycling and then seeing stories where it all ends up in landfill anyway because there is no market for recycled materials? Well here’s a good story!

Our new rPET (recycled polyethylene terephthalate) keyrings are made in Australia and use recycled materials for production.

From bottle to bag tag!

We work with ‘Lids for Kids’ to collect milk bottle lids that have been recycled by Australian school kids. We then take all that single-use plastic to our Australian manufacturer, where the lids are melted down and poured into reusable moulds, creating useful and fun products that can be used as luggage identifiers, bag tags and keyrings.

There are multiple shapes to choose from and the swirls and patterns on each one are unique and individual, so no two are quite the same.

Doing our part for a more sustainable future

As an Australian, family-owned company, we’re passionate about keeping things local as much as possible and contributing to a more sustainable future.

Our first order of 8000 keyrings will use roughly 32,000 bottle caps, equating to 96kg of single-use plastic waste saved from entering our landfills. And because each keyring is also recyclable, it keeps the circular economy going.

But circular recycling only works if we actually do keep the recycled materials going. Not just recycling them once, but reusing waste and creating and purchasing recycled products, keeping more plastic in circulation and less in landfills, or worse, oceans. PET is the most recycled plastic in the world, and it’s part of our mission to keep it that way.

Additionally, all our products are shipped in as little packaging as possible, and we use recycled kraft paper to protect delicate products. All our packaging is recyclable and our company is certified carbon neutral.

BUY A KEYRING, SAVE A TURTLE

It can take just four plastic lids to kill a sea turtle, and each one of our keyrings takes four lids to make, so we like to think that each keyring keeps one more turtle swimming freely in our beautiful oceans. Each purchase directly contributes to keeping harmful plastics from polluting our environment.

Let’s become a part of the change to help keep this beautiful world of ours cleaner for all life.

You can buy our rPET keyrings online, and they’ll be stocked at all good zoos around Australia, including Taronga and Dubbo.
